Such digital platforms provide many benefits but have also gained significant control of consumer data, which confers market power. This has raised not only competition-related concerns but also concerns related to consumer protection and privacy. Especially in developing economies like India, digital markets are growing exponentially and this brings with its complexities in the enforcement of antitrust law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering\nthe need to evolve the antitrust measures to suit these newly created markets,\nthe School of Competition Law and Market Regulation at the Indian Institute of\nCorporate Affairs (\u201cSoCL&amp;MR\u201d), and the Centre for Competition Law and\nPolicy, National Law University Jodhpur (\u201cCCLP\u201d) are organizing a virtual\nconference to facilitate the academic discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the\nSchool of Competition Law and Market Regulation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nSoCL&amp;MR is dedicated to the creation of &#8216;competition culture&#8217; among the\nmarket participants which shall augment competition awareness and\nunderstanding. The School conducts long-term and short-term courses for\ntraining of various stakeholders such as officials of ministries, government\ndepartments, regulatory authorities, public and private sector enterprises,\nstudents, and other practitioners of competition law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the\nCentre for Competition Law and Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established\nwith the vision to promote interdisciplinary research in the field of\ncompetition law and policymaking, In 2016, the CCLP became India\u2019s first\ncompetition law research centre to partner the United Nations Conference on\nTrade and Development at its Research Partnership Platform. The CCLP regularly\norganizes academic conferences, panel discussions, and lecture series which see\ninvolvement from practitioners, noted academicians, and former as well as\ncurrent members of the Competition Commission of India.
