Prof. Poonam Saxena

Prof. Poonam Saxena is an eminent distinguished professor of law. She holds degrees of LL.B. & LL.M. from University of Delhi and has attained national scholarship for meritorious performance in academics. She obtained her Ph.D. from University of Delhi in 1988 on the “Similarities and Divergences in Inheritance laws in India: A feasibility study in Unification”. She has also been the creditable recipient of Junior Research Scholarship by the University of Delhi (1982) and scholarship by the Indian Institute of Islamic Studies (1981).She has a wide experience of teaching of 31 years in University of Delhi in various positions including her momentous experience as Professor, Law Centre-II , Faculty of Law University of Delhi, Delhi (2004-July 2013). She has been a versatile administrator as Professor in Charge, Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law , University of Delhi (2007- 2010 & April 2013-July 2013). She has also been awarded the prestigious Senior Fulbright Fellowship (1998) and Shastri-Indo Canadian Fellowship (2000). She has published around 50 articles in prestigious international and national journals covering diverse areas of significance in law and pertinent social issues. She has been an illustrious writer of various books including Mulla’s Transfer of Property Act, 1882 ( Lexis Nexis, Butterworth India) , Family Law Course book ( ICADR), Family Law Lectures, Family Law-II (Lexis Nexis, Butterworth India), Property Law ( Lexis Nexis, Butterworth India), Property and Easements, Halsbury Laws of India Vol 12 ( Lexis Nexis Butterworth India) , Trusts and Charities, Halsbury Laws of India ( Vol 29(2)) ( Lexis Nexis Butterworth India), Family Law –I, Halsbury laws of India (Vol 26) ( Lexis Nexis Butterworth India), Family Law –II, Halsbury laws of India (Vol 28) ( Lexis Nexis Butterworth India). Her success as an ingenious writer is evident from the publication of a number of successive editions of her books. Being a prolific writer, she is also on the editorial board of reputed national and international journals including "Ius Gentium" Journal of the University of Baltimore, Center for International and Comparative Law, Maryland, USA., National Capital Law Journal, University of Delhi etc. She specializes in family law, inheritance and succession, property law, trusts and charities, women-related laws and has reviewed books related to these core areas exhaustively. She has guided numerous students for doctorate and as well for LL.M. dissertation. She is a member of various prestigious professional bodies. She is also Founder member of the Association of the South Asian Clinical Law Teachers. Besides various conferences across the country, she has presented her research work at various international conferences at Bogazici University, Istanbul Turkey, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, University of. Alberta, Edmonton , Canada, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Canada, University of Ontario, Ontario Canada, University of Toronto, Toronto, Concordia University, Montreal, McGill University, Montreal, Women's Bar Association, Baltimore, U.S.A., University of Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A., Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A, Keele University, England, Association of American Law Schools, at Miami, Florida, USA. etc. She has been an active participant and resource person in talks on contemporary issues on various news channels and the UGC education channel Gyan Darshan. She organized a national conference on “Emerging Issues in Family Laws in India” at India International Centre in 2010. She has been invited by various Law schools across the country to share her vast experience in legal education. The philanthropic aspect of her personality is well reflected by her in-depth involvement in conducting various legal aid activities for women, children and other deprived sections of society. She is also actively involved with the gender justice programme. She is a committed humanitarian, a teacher par excellence and a versatile administrator.

Prof. (Dr.) I.P. Massey, LL.M. (Lko), LL.M. (Calif. Berkeley), Ph.D. Dean, Faculty of Law, is a distinguished Professor of national repute. Formerly, he was the Professor of Law and Dean, Faculty of Law, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He was also a fellow of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla and member of the H.P. Human Rights Commission. His area of specialization is Administrative Law. He guided research at the post graduate and doctoral level and has published extensively in various law journals. His book on Administrative Law is a very popular authoritative text.

Mr. Anand Kumar Singh

Mr. Anand Kumar Singh is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law University, Jodhpur. He completed his LL.B. from the Campus Law Centre at University of Delhi in the year 2012 and went on to complete his Masters in Law (LLM) with specialization in Corporate and Competition Law from the National Law University, Jodhpur in the year 2015. He also holds a Masters in Business Laws (MBL) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. During his short, two year (02), stint at dealing with corporate and consumer litigation matters in Delhi he drafted several plaints and agreements, tendered legal opinion, conducted due diligence and legal compliance and filed replies to notices while appearing before forums like the Company Law Board, Debt Recovery tribunal, Tees Hazari Court and High Court of Delhi.
He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from the National Law University, Jodhpur in the area of Arbitrability of Competition Law Disputes in India.
He holds an experience of over three years (03) in teaching and has administered courses, both, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. His areas of interest include Corporate Laws, Competition/Anti Trust Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring, Securities Laws (SEBI Regulations), Companies/Business Law and Banking and Finance Laws. He has to his credit several publications in national and international journals of high repute. He has participated and delivered expert lectures in numerous professional training programs, conferences, workshops and seminars. Recently, as its Program Coordinator, he successfully organised and delivered lectures at, the first of its kind, Certificate Course on Legal Aspects of Startups in India at National Law University Jodhpur.

Mr. Ankit Srivastava, is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, at National Law University, Jodhpur. He was previously working as Assistant Professor (Law) at Amity Law School, Lucknow (August, 2016 to June, 2018) and has a teaching experience of almost 2 years. He has completed his Master of Laws (LLM in Competition Law) from National Law University, Delhi and Graduation from Symbiosis Law School, Noida. He has numerous paper publications in reputed journals to his credit and has also presented his papers in different National and International conferences. He has also chaired various National Legal events. His area of Interest is Competition Law, Law of Torts, Contract Law and Constitution laws.
